The tree didn't happen. Not because of me, but because I talked to someone in the canton who's a forester. He said we shouldn't plant it until it was dormant. That'll be another month. All I have to do now is get in touch with a man at the City trees department (who knows that I'm phoning). Soon.

After the tree discussion, I managed to get the house mostly clean. It's a nice feeling. My next task is to finish the Italian Ren doublet for my husband, and the gown for me. It's doable.

I finished my contract with DSG, not because the work is done, but because the people above me in the chain either left or were asked to. So that's over. But there's some fun stuff with MedHunters right now - messing around with HTML, and then soon, doing a conversion to XML. All of which is good, because I love working with these things. The act of compilation is almost magical. (I should explain that it's not really HTML. It's based on HTML 2, with some custom stuff added using Python, and then compiled into a form.) It also gives me a chance to do some fun stuff with user interface design, since part of fixing the forms is making them more usable. It's an interesting challenge, because I've been working on a different end of them for a week or two, so I have an idea of how they're actually being used.

Overall, things are well. I'm happy with my small things.
