May. 27th, 2005 09:09 pmSecond session with the trainer. (The first was last night when he did the assessment.)
He is not a pushover. He is damned good at his job. And I am now feeling it. It feels good.
But I impressed him, I think. Mainly because I did what he told me to do, even when it hurt. That felt good, too. Well, not the hurting. It was pain. But the doing it anyway. I will not be a whiner.
Other things that were good today: the perfectly done fresh cob on the corn (it's supposed to be crisp, people, not mushy) and broiled lamb with mint sauce that I'm eating right now; my company unexpectedly closing the office at 1pm today so that people could get a head start on the weekend; calling my best friend to surprise her on her birthday; apparently no longer looking like death warmed over (I had another UTI complete with muscle spasms for the last week and a half. "UTIs - when just going hypo isn't making you miserable enough!" Poor Ross has been trying to say "you look like crap, please see the doctor" without saying "you look like crap". And yes, I should have seen one last week. No-one said I was smart.).
It was a very good day.
