This morning, I was awakened far too early for my happiness by the sound of my mother cleaning up the laundry room in preparation for the delivery of her new dryer. I put in earplugs, and went back to sleep.

I subsequently managed to sleep through:

• the rest of the cleaning


• a visit from my sister


• the arrival and installation of the new dryer


• a flood caused by my mother's knocking loose a connection to the washing machine


• my mother yelling for me to come help when she first knocked the connection loose

I must write the earplug company with my compliments.

sadly, I don't actually know.

They're orange form pluggy ones. I just bought the highest rated ones I could find two years ago when I was shopping for pennsic.
