Jan. 28th, 2004 12:43 pmYay! No cartridge pleating for me!
I played around with the skirt last night while watching Red Dwarf and Conan O'Brian. I'm going to be able to flat pleat it. Whee! Life is good.

Date: 2004-01-28 11:27 am (UTC)For example: I flat pleated the modesty petticoat, and ended up (on each side) with 10 pleats of x into y, three of .5x into y and one of .25x into .5y. I talked to T about it, and she said that it was a perfectly period practice, and got out the documentation to show me.
(I asked her if she'd be willing to say that she'd told me that *before* I actually pleated the thing -- she got a really good laugh out of that)
It really becomes a choice thing, as long as your fabric is thin enough. If it's too thick to flat pleat, you really have to cartridge pleat it.

Date: 2004-01-28 11:29 am (UTC)The one really nice thing about expressvu is that if you miss your show, you can usually pick it up later in the evening since it carries stations from newfoundland to vancouver -- so if CSI is on at 9, but you miss it because you're out at dinner, you can catch it on the Edmonton station at 9pm their time
