Quiet day

Talked to friends, finally got celestialaddict added to my ICQ list, listened to Bachir talk, had lunch with IJ, did some work.

Walked back from lunch - took a while, and it was very cold. But I miss walking. One of the great things about Toronto is that it's a walkable one.

Before lunch I picked up some presents for Whitney and J at a little store near the restaurant. Ross gave me the inspiration, and I think that they'll both love the result.

The office was quiet.. much quieter than the house - fewer distractions at least. Still the distraction of http and nntp. But you can't have Hotline without those distractions.

Somewhat sleepy. Joel's picking me up and we're going to have dinner at the Duke of York. Yay! Strongbow and pub food, and probably back to Joel's place to watch a DVD and chat. It'll be a nice evening.

I didn't even manage to walk to the street car after lunch. I flagged down the first taxi and made it back to the office in record time. Actually not back to the office. Back to the Second Cup at Richmond and Spadina to get a cup of my new addiction, a white mocca. Then just around the corner to work.
