"Best seat in the house
For the ultimate indulgence, Jacuzzi's La Scala two person whirlpool bath, $29,000, encases a 42-inch high-definition plasma TV monitor. With a DVD and CD player tucked into the side and surround-sound speakers buried beneath the porcelain, there's no question you're in for a marathon soak. Need more incentive to forgo buying that new power car for a tub? Try Internet access and video monitoring, both controllable from a floating remote and waterproof wireless keyboard."

You can see the little rascal here. Oy vey. I mean, I like a good soak, but....

It's a two person tub. If I had it, the *last* thing I would be doing would be watching tv/checking my email.

Date: 2003-09-18 09:55 am (UTC)I've been known to soak in the tub for an hour or so when I'm not feeling well. Book in hand, glass of wine or mug of tea next to the tub (depending on why I'm not feeling well) and candles lit.
With this sucker I'd be in there for the evening...
*sigh*
Oh well, someday when I'm rich.

Date: 2003-09-18 09:59 am (UTC)but anyway... it just seems so excessive to me... 30K?!?!?!? USD!?!?! That's like 40K of my money. And I can't imagine that being 5 feet away from a 42" plasma screen would be the optimal viewing experience, ya know?

Date: 2003-09-18 11:10 am (UTC)But to be able to soak, in a whirlpool, while caving into my internet addiction... hrm... tempting, no?
And think, once we're multi millionaires, 30K, USD, will look like nothing...

Date: 2003-09-18 11:15 am (UTC)about as disturbing as the idea of checking your email at Pennsic, and for kinda the same reasons, if you know what I mean.
As a tangent from that (and Arnora, this is an FYI for you, too) Gulf Wars probably isn't ever going to be on my "possibility" list.. given that my birthday falls right smack in between the two kids' birthdays, March isn't looking good for big camping events miles from home. ::sighs::
