I wonder how long it'll sit at Export Scan *this* time; given that it was apparently scanned twice, it'll likely be twice as long. So its next little side jaunt to Maryland should occur next Monday. Sunday if I get lucky and they decide to move packages around on the weekend.
In a similar vein, a letter mailed from the Elora post office to Fergus (or, indeed, Elora) has to route through Kitchener and then Hamilton. At one point, feeling that this was asinine, the Elora post office had a box beside the main mail drop; if your letter was going to Calgary (or Tampa), you put your mail in the main drop. If it was "local mail" -- destined for Fergus or Elora -- you just dropped it in the box, and they'd either put it in the appropriate PO box in Elora or take it over to Fergus.
The main Canada Post people found out and forced them to stop. ::headdesk::
