And truly, if I'm going to make sweeping generalizations, their ego is like pretty damned small - it's the sense of entitlement that's huge.

Look at the auto industry, and specifically GM's position in it. They're not operating in the current decade, nor the previous one. Reality is a game they aren't fond of.
