My day, in bullet points
Apr. 28th, 2008 09:18 pmBecause I'm not afraid to be unhip. Or hip. Or whatever bullet points are today.
Like that.
- Monday is my garbage day, which usually means that I wake up at 6:45 to put it out. Last night, I forgot, so this morning, I woke up too late. Fortunately, the waste transfer station is on the way into work
- Work was good. My boss is pleased with the innovations I'm making (like, say, actually reading, and incorporating information from, the model documentation). I had my quarterly review on Friday, and brought up the fact that I've been frustrated by my perception of institutional resistance to change. I think she heard me.
- I've received permission from my landlord to create a raised bed garden in the backyard. I just have to site it. So tonight I picked up a seedling starter tray and some organic eggplant and yellow sweet pepper seeds. I've already got some swiss chard. I will probably be doing square foot gardening in a 3' or 4' x 8' raised bed, which means I can do 18 or 24 varieties, so I need to figure out what the rest are going to be.
- Spoke on the phone for about an hour to
jascha, which is always a delight. Then I let him get back to his marking.
Like that.
