Earnest

The show, from my perspective, went well. All the costumes got put on all the right people.

The few people I talked to at intermission and afterwards enjoyed watching it, and we heard audience laughter over the monitor. I'm starting to get to know the play, even if I haven't watched it but in bits and bites on the monitor in the green room (and heard bits of it as the actors run lines). I'm looking forward to watching it from the audience next week.

Tonight I'm going back, and tomorrow I'm missing a night so that others may watch. I got a good night's sleep last night, and am feeling a fair ways better today than I did yesterday or Wednesday (or Monday and Tuesday, for that matter).

Of course, my work day has sort of exploded all over me, leaving a sticky web of competing obligations that I'm trying to fight my way through. Wish me luck.

I thought that distrcting you with buff, handsome, chisled, blue-eyed firemen would help you -- because it would take your mind off the sticky mess in your lap.
