Yeah, see, I scored an 80% friendly. Obviously, there's something wrong with that.

Just plain weird!

(Slight amendment to my first attempt.)

One question, only!! Have I dated any of the people on my friends list? Four of them are guys, and I'm straight! (And one of the guys is my brother and another is my daughter's boyfriend.)

Four are women -- but two of them I've never met. I might have been happy to date one of the other two -- if we'd met in some other incarnation! (She's about 20 years younger than I, and I was long and happily married before I got acquainted with her.)

I actually did "date" one of the four -- but not, I think, in the way the question was intended. This one is my daughter, and when she was growing up we used to occasionally have father-daughter "dates" when I would take her to a restaurant or a movie or something to give her some special attention and to help her develop her social skills.

What do they actually look at?

Since they ask for your LJ username, but don't ask for a password, it's possible to input other people's names, and I've been experimenting a little with that. After you input the username, it next brings up a list of all the people on that person's "Friends" list (or maybe all "Mutual Friends" -- I'm not sure) and asks which of those the person has dated. How many you say you (or they) have dated doesn't seem to make a huge difference to the results. The significant factor, which does make a difference, is how many people there are on the list, or perhaps a combination of how many are "Friends", how many are "Mutual Friends", how many are "Also friends of ...", etc.

Rotten In Giza since 2007...

Are you sure i'm not more random than you are?

I like to think I'm friendlier than this graph suggests, too, but it *is* the LJ Mojo rubric, with which i can't argue, apparently. I suppose if i introspect in the right way for long enough i could arrive at a profound appreciation of my not-totally-friendlyness.

(pause)

Yup. There it is.

touché - you *are* more random than i am. An excellent picnic food idea, it tastes great chilled or at room temperature.

i am, perhaps, friendlier than you, though you're pretty friendly. history alone will be the judge of this.

if you go back and make entirely different sets of answers to this quiz, you get the same shape, so i think it's based on the letters in your LJ name....

I noticed that too. Your suggestion (that it's based on the letters in the LJ name) probably makes as much sense as my suggestion, above, that it's based on how many "friends", "mutual friends", and "also friends of" that you have. I wonder if there's any way to find out.

you could change your friends list temporarily and re-take the test, but that sounds like work...

i think your theory is more likely, given the way LJ works.
