I finally bought a copy of Kushiel's Chosen on Saturday.

I cracked it open late this afternoon with a great deal of anticipation. Only to find that my copy starts on page 17.

So now I need to take it back to Conestoga Mall... Hey, Karen... wanna meet me for lunch on Wednesday? I have an appointment with my doctor to get the results of my tests, and could probably make it over between 12 and 12:30.

Psh, pages 1-16 were overrated anyway. I mean, why would you want to waste time with those common first-pages things such as plot setup and character development, hmm? ;D
