Dim sum/my birthday
Feb. 16th, 2007 04:10 pmDim sum on my birthday!
I'm kind of funny about my birthday. As a child and teenager, I always had to share it with one or more family members, because my grandmother wanted to host but not more than once a month. So I've developed a perhaps unhealthy obsession with having some kind of marking of the day. Preferably organized by someone else, but that's only ever happened once since I was about 15, and I recognize that it's an unreasonable, and often unspoken, expectation.
All that aside, this year I'd like to have dim sum, with a bunch of people who I like, in KW. So, yeah, come on out and eat yummy food.
March 4, probably 11ish. If you're SCA coming to Woodstock for Winter War, it's *possible* I may be able to do something about arranging KW crash space so that you don't have to go back where you came from and then come back to KW. Availability of crash space will depend on how my life goes in the next couple of weeks.
If you'd like to come, please make a note here - I've already noted persephoneplace and (hopefully) Mavvie.

Date: 2007-02-16 09:31 pm (UTC)FYI: I'm seriously considering king tin, because it's all about me and I want the little pork balls of goodness. But I'm not completely sold either way.

Date: 2007-02-16 10:33 pm (UTC)Dim sum is very shrimp heavy. Also a lot of pork. But there are some vegetables. A gander at the dim sum menu at Cameron's should give you a good idea of what you're likely to encounter.
