Assuming the D'Courci sewing afternoon gets switched to Feb 11 to accomodate my return from Florida on the 10th, and assuming that the hastily-made-in-the-fight-practice-changeroom plans for the 17th (which I don't think have been promulgated so we should probably do that, ladies) still stand, I think the first available weekend day (since Luci's is only open during the day) I have open is 18Feb. However, that's a Sunday, which won't work for eliskimo.

I had vague thoughts in my head about travelling to Practicum on the 24th, but if we wanted to play with pottery that day instead, I'd happily skip the hours on the road (especially since every SCA-related road trip I've ever made to Ottawa has been cursed).

telling you i won't be there, because asking *anyone* to pick a date for *anything* on the basis of my availability any time between now and the end of the show for sure (and what's rapidly looking like mid-june in actuality) is just... pointless, really.

i didn't reply to the 1st post because there wasn't enough information (i have a modicum of interest in such an outting, and would happily go had the date proposed by those with the stronger interest coincided with a free day in the schedule, but not enough personal interest to either shift stuff already on my sched, or agitate for a date that works for me :)

where do you do pottery? we were thinking of singing up for classes at the pickering rec centre, but is SO expensive.

Luci's MudHut is one of those "paint your own" places -- they've generally got greenware (air dried) and bisque (fired once, lightly) pieces that you can play with.

I've never gone for throwing classes. I believe there's a woman in KW who does them, but I've never gotten around to it.
