Your commitment to and kindess towards animals is inspiring and rare. The ways in which you made the last 8 months so much easier for me mean the world to me. And your eye for painted rocks in cement yards keeps me laughing, which means a great deal to me.
I like that you're always willing to lend a hand, but also are sensible about it -- you'll draw the line if doing something for someone would be bad for you. It's a lesson I'd dearly love to learn.
thank you. if it helps, i don;t see my ability to say no as being that good :) i'm always wishing i was better in that regard. perspective and priorities. the older i get the more i realize how important and complex they are.
btw- i have a small chunk of a blue gray velvet material. you interested? i am thinking you might give it a good purpose in life. don;t know the fibre content (it was a gift) likely upholstery velvet. i am trying to go through the fabric stash and reduce it to a sensible size.
my schedule might become more routine, so connecting on a weekend date would be entirely possible. if you could come into town, we could plan some time together(group or not), and go through the collection. i want to slim it down. perhaps even sew some decent garb to have on hand for the odd event purpose.
i have space if bringing tudor to eoforwic interests folk (or sewing circles). and an extra bed if you need crash space. :) it even comes in its' own room. i know pink_lady2 should be coming in from ottawa last weekend in january. don;t think you know her, but a sca ladies thing could be fun. (smallish numbers fun, i am thinking)
hmmm... being very verbose. suspect i should try to think sleepy thoughts. hugs and ttyl :)
I'm heading to Snowed Inn on the 27th and I have commitments with mundane friends on the 28th, so the last weekend in Jan is pretty much booked for me.
damedini has feb 10/11th free. we could try to make a bit of something social out of it. perhaps nita might like to escape if she can (and is healthy?). i am pretty flexible. only thing is that if we do the saturday, we go for a late start as i will have worked the night until 630 am. so i iwll be needing a short spat of sleep. not too much though, so say 1ish-2ish.
