I left work at noon-ish today to head over to KW and pick up much_ado. Our destination was Stratford, and our purpose.. well, the less said about that the better. "Mayhem" is such a harsh word.

We hit the antiques mall east of Stratford on Hwy 7, and then went downtown to eat lunch and wander around. Ok, "lunch" is perhaps a misnomer -- it was three in the afternoon and I'd not eaten since breakfast, and still haven't had dinner. I should really do that. However, the spinach and ricotta ravioli with asparagus and mushrooms, in the red pepper cream sauce was absolutely delicious.

I picked up a silver-plate service for six and a new ring, both for me, at the antiques mall. And I picked up a pretty box and chocolate to fill it for my Grandmother. And two chocolate covered strawberries for me (though I gave one to my mom). There were many other pretty things for me that I resisted, though nothing else that inspired me as gifts for Christmas.

After dropping much_ado at home -- in time for dinner, even -- I headed over to Best Buy, where I picked up an open box special on a widescreen 19" flatscreen monitor, and came home to find the paperwork from the Registrar of Imported Vehicles waiting for me.

However, the monitor leads to the dilema; I have a computer (work laptop) at my grandmother's house, and a computer (home desktop) at home, both of which need monitors. Now I have two. But which one to use with which computer is the problem. The 17" flatscreen is currently hooked up to the work laptop. The new 19" widescreen is in the front seat of my car. So it would be easiest to set up the 19" at home, and leave the 17 at work. Also, the 17" is on a funny backwards angle, which means that it's better on the short table it's on, rather than the higher up new computer desk I got the night before; the 19" is completely vertical.

So it seems like a no brainer, right? Except that I won't be using the home computer for much at all until I'm somewhere that doesn't involve dialup, and I could really use the extra screen real estate when I'm working on Frame documents and online help projects.

So, gentle readers, what would you do?
