My first Trimaris event

So I went to my first event here in Trimaris on the weekend. The local group was holding an event about a half mile from my house, so daytripping made perfect sense.

I spent a lovely four or five hours singing (rehersals in preparation for a concert demo taking place tomorrow night) and talking, mostly about Art/Sci and inter-kingdom anthro.

I had a delightful time, though there were a few uncomfortable minutes when one of the ladies I was talking to said "Ealdormere -- there was a king who died up there in a car accident, right?." It still has the power to completely poleax me.

But other than that, all was good.

Duchess Elspeth is The Bomb and highly clueful about late Tudor clothing... She knocked my socks off back when I was new.

I don't think it was tactlessness so much as not thinking, and probably not realizing how very small Ealdormere is. In Trimaris, I suspect the likelihood of being personally touched by an event like that is considerably less than it is in Ealdormere.

Do you know whereabouts Duchess Elspeth is located?

I did have a similar thought about relative kingdom size as I typed, but ... I dunno...
I have no idea where Duchess Elspeth lives. But she should be fairly well known as a laurel and popular queen.

I still need to come by and check out the fabric too, I know weeknights are bad for you, but I can always come by after work during the week. I might be able to get some time to head over there early Saturday afternoon...what do your plans look like?

Weeknights aren't generally bad, just a few of them. Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday nights are generally ok, though tomorrow I have the concert thing down in St. Pete.

Saturday would be fine, too.
