Christmas wrapup
Dec. 29th, 2005 12:19 pmSo Christmas was fairly low key this year - we had the family thing on Saturday, then had fantastic Caribbean food on Sunday afternoon with friends, and watched King Kong in the evening.
Ross loved the Johnny Cash CD set I got him, John adored his robosapien, and Whitney was super happy with the present Ross and his sister gave her. So all was good. Ross gave me a Palm Z22, John gave me an iTunes card, and Whitney gave me a copy of Memoirs of a Geisha and some Burt's Bees stuff.
This week has been slow at work, since the place is a ghost town. I'm off tomorrow and Monday.
Last night we went to the Montreal vs Tampa game at the Forum in Tampa with cous_cous and spuriusfurius, first stopping at Shalimar, a nice Indian restaurant a few blocks from the Forum. I had a great time. Montreal won, and did some very nice passing. However, who in the hell stole body checks from NHL hockey? A handful of checks into the board, one along side the board that was actually a beautiful play, but *nothing* mid-ice. Ah, body check, I weep for thee. Though the addition of the puck-bunnies-as-cheerleaders is something I can do without.
