Spent a fair amount of time hanging out with the step-son and husband this weekend - I took the former to get his hair cut, and the three of us went to see the Incredibles. The movie, btw, was amazing.
We also went to the library yesterday morning -- I picked up Kavita Daswani's For Matrimonial Purposes. The paperback's publisher touts it as "Sex in the City in a sari", which isn't quite right since there's no sex, but hey, who am I to argue with Marketing Wizards(TM)?
I really enjoyed the book -- I finished it this afternoon. I found it very difficult to put down for one, and it's quite a quick read for another.
Unfortunately, the other book I wanted to check out, Rebecca Kohn's The Gilded Chamber (a retelling of the story of Esther), had been hurt by someone who'd checked it out previously and returned it without mentioning the fact that they'd broken the spine. ::anger::
So I have to wait a couple of days till they've fixed it. In the meantime, I need to figure out what I want to read next.
