Tonight I looked on joy
May. 2nd, 2003 11:48 pmI remember, way back when Ealdormere first became a kingdom, and a singer commemorating the history was barely heard over the din in the hall. I've watched her grow in the intervening years as a performer, but even as late as the last time I saw her, there was something held back.
Tonight, I saw pure, unadulterated joy on the face of a human who had complete command of her audience, and her art. It was truely awe inspiring to witness, aside from the astounding things she can do with her voice.
And man, that woman can play a bodhran.
If I ever accost you with a CD by Heather, and suggest that you should just borrow mine to have a listen, do yourself a favour and take it home.
