1. How often do you dance in public?
Dancing defined as "moving one's body rhythmically to music": Three or four times a week.
Club dancing (ie get out on the dance floor and dance for an extended period of time while not doing anything else) less often - a few times a year.
I'd like to learn how to ballroom dance.
2. Are you selective about the circumstances (music, gotta have a few drinks, club), or will you dance to anything, anywhere, anytime?
The other day I was dancing to the Musak at the grocery store. I dance to the music I sing when I'm driving or riding in the car (the radio's broken in my Mazda). I dance to the music in my head all the time.
Ask Ross -- he's frequently left looking at me saying "you are *so* your Mother".
In terms of club dancing, it generally has to be a song I like, or at least don't hate.
3. Name some music (genres, artists, songs) that would be guaranteed to get you on the floor.
All that retro-80's stuff. Abba, always.
4. Name some music (genres, artists, songs) that would have your ass super-glued to your chair.
Hip-hop, industrial, oontz oontz, stompy stomp.
5. Fill in the blank: In general, dancing makes me feel __________ . (e.g. scared, happy, free, awkward, etc.) Why?
Happy, entertained, and amused.
Happy because it's fun. Entertained because I enjoy the fact that I've gotten to the point where I'll happily dance whenever I want to, just because I want to. And amused because I really am turning into my mother.
