Further Adventures of Adrienne
Mar. 1st, 2005 01:41 pmIn which Adrienne spends the weekend unpacking and entertains various visitors
Saturday, cous_cous disregarded her headache and ventured up to Clearwater to help me unpack and deliver a bromeliad from Romeo. Her help was greatly appreciated, and I was very, very happy with the results.
Sunday, we went to church, and went shopping. I got the complete first season of Charmed on DVD as a birthday present. Once we got home, we had a visit from Ross' parents, and then a nap. Ross left to watch the Oscars at the Tampa Theatre, and I left for the airport.
Mom's plane was late, but she arrived, and we hit stripper Denny's. I ended up getting my meal for free (and generally, that's really not a good thing). We won't be eating at Denny's anymore.
I took yesterday off, and Mom and I went to get the address on my DL changed. Remember the hoopla about getting my old DL? The pain, the agony, the driving around with a printout for weeks before my actual card arrived from Tallahassee? Well, now I no longer have one of the new DLs, because they just made the new one up on the spot, and it's the old green style. Some days.
Mom and I also hit the Florida International Museum. We hung out in the evening, and played a game of cribbage over tea (Canadian Red Rose) before bed.
Tonight, a trip up to see a brand new 7 year old for his birthday, and with any luck more cribbage and tea. And Mom's making dinner for us tonight.
