The anthill is disturbed

My boss' boss announced his resignation, effective immediately, this morning. This, of course, has the whole place in a tizzy. I have had verbal assurance that I won't be affected. Whee! Gotta love life in corporate america.

At the same time, the St. Pete Times ran a story this morning about a state plan to train 30000 new teachers by September 2006, and raise the starting salary of new teachers to $35K.

Of course, that's still a massive drop in salary for me, but still. It gets one to thinking.

Massive drop for me as well, but it *does* get one to thinking. I'd have plenty of time off, that's for sure.

I've been thinking about a move into guidance counselling for a few years now.. We'll see, I guess.

I don't think so.. Ontario teachers have a much better pay scale for one, and have to deal with a lot less crap in the schools for two.
