In a CNN interview with Lindsey Lohan, the following exchange took place:

Q: Do you want to go to school?

LOHAN: People go to college to find who they are as a person and find what they want to do in life, and I kind of already know that so it would be like I'd be taking a step back or something.

Well yeah.. finding yourself.. of course, there's that whole "education" thing, but really, that's not nearly as important.

There's a reason that Natalie Portman's my favourite young star, and it's not just because she acted her ass off in Leon.

My issue is more the "step back" than the "education is for finding yourself".

Then again, she's 18 & famous - I'm not expecting intelligent responses on what school is for.

I think it was in response to someone asking her why she is finishing school.

I hadn't heard that particular quote. However, I do know that she's talked several times about seriously thinking about leaving acting once she completes her education, and going into a career in psychology/psychiatry (can't remember which one)>
