T.O.'S Ashley Madison, an infidelity dating service, is pitching its idea for a reality show across the border

CALL IT Desperate Housewives -- the reality show. The people behind Ashley Madison, a Toronto-based infidelity dating service whose slogan is, "When monogamy becomes monotony," are hoping to turn extra-marital affairs into the next hot reality trend.

Darren Morgenstern, the shaggy-haired Don Johnson look-alike who founded the company and who hosts those late-night Ashley Madison infomercials, is boarding a plane this weekend to L.A. where he has meetings with HBO, Showtime, Fox and several other U.S. broadcasters.

The program would explore the reasons behind infidelity and would follow certain Ashley Madison clients as they venture out on "dates" with other like-minded strangers. People on the show would be fully exposed, not hidden in shadows or blurred to protect their identities.

Admittedly, this is the first time I've ever seen these people admit that their "service" is about infidelity. However.

I think there's going to have to be a section of my website devoted to the "sanctity of marriage".
