Sunday wrapup
Jul. 19th, 2004 12:16 amTechnically, it's Monday morning. But I haven't gone to bed yet, so it's still Sunday in my head.
It was a fairly normal Sunday for us -- up early to head off to church, home, lunch, a nap, dinner, some hanging out with the kid, conversations with the family back home, and then Ross was out the door to drive someone somewhere.
It was notable for two reasons, one good and one bad. Ross got some news about an old friend of his that kind of cast a pall on the rest of the day.
On the other hand, it marked a special day. Three years ago, on July 18, 2001, a conversation in a Hotline chat room occured that started with me saying "you don't know what you're talking about, so perhaps you should shut the fuck up".
July 19th, of course, will be the third anniversary of my lunch with Joel at the Friendly Thai, in which I told him about the conversation on the 18th, starting with "So, I met this complete headcase online last night...".
Famous last words.
At the time, I'd been separated from my ex for a year. He'd been separated since May. Neither of us expected that we'd end up where we are now.
Happy anniversary, baby. Though you really didn't know what you were talking about that night. ;)
