I was joking hon... although I wouldn't want to try to disuade you. *grin* We plan on being there a few days in August. Still have to get the exact days approved at work.

The link had recipies... so I might be trying them too,

Wouldn't a pop tart do? They sound basically the same.

Think pecan pie with raisins instead of pecans.

Actually, I'd rather not think about that at all.

Please let me stick to my pop tart fantasy.

ok....

That would be a vinegar pie (which I've had) or a buttermilk pie (which I've also had) depending on what pecan pie recipie you're talking about. Of course, both of them I've had with raisins...

The recipies I saw in that article doesn't look like either...

And now I'm even more curious.

Didn't see the picture. Or more accurately, looked at the picture, thought "pretty waterfall" and completely missed the pie.

Pop Tarts have flaky pastry, that's why. Otherwise I would have suggested a fig newton.

Well, if you toast 'em they ooze. Not my fault you've been eating 'em wrong all these years.

Well there you go. Your punishment for moving so far away. No butter tarts. :P

(OK - I can't have them with this diet thing I am on, but hey, I can still smell them!!!)

Too true! I have the Tiger Williams cookbook "Done like Dinner". Almost every recipe has alchohol. The cheesy beer soup is especially nice, as is Gordie Howe's legendary rice (whiskey)

Well, if you ever get completely homesick, I'm willing to lend you my cookbook. Especially if you're planning on making the (Sudden) Death by chocolate. Yum!

One of our clients ships food baskets to the states. There is a CA$26 fee if you ship through UPS and use their clearing/brokerage services.

Have to check everything from us dangerous Canadians, you know.
