hel_ana | Again, I say "urgle"

So my adventures in ADIT photos are not yet done. I have some. But they're not right.

For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about (which is probably most of you), I need to get photos taken to these specifications.

This is apparently harder than you'd think. You'll note that they don't want retouched photos. The first set they took, the guy helpfully removed the background (significantly changing my hair in the process). The second go-around, they lit the background so that it would be white, and produced acceptably sized but grainy photos. So they took the second photo, and printed it at a higher resolution. (I guess.) However, they significantly increased the size. I didn't notice till I was home.

So. What to do. I was a complete pain in the ass. (They just didn't get why the photo with the removed background wasn't working for me.) And I really don't trust them at this point. Nor do I have another hour and a half to while away in their store. Though I did appreciate the futon they have for their customers' convenience.

So I called a couple of places, and finally hit upon Kreative Studios. The guy who runs it knows my father from way back (they both used to belong to the Guelph Sales and Ad Club), and my parents were very happy with some work Chris did for them a few years ago. He says that he's done the photos I need before. I'll let you know tomorrow how that went.
