Cognitive dissonance
Mar. 25th, 2004 05:14 pmSo, I'm the world's *worst* packer/mover. I've never had a move that went smoothly, because I always underestimate the work involved in packing.
It drives my father nuts (rightly).
However, I'm almost two days out from getting the moving van, and I'm almost ready. I still have two boxes to tape, and some clothes to put in a suitcase, and to slap a lid on some totes with other clothes in them.. My "to do before actually loading the truck" list is probably less than ten items long.
It's wierd. It feels like there should be an entire room full of stuff that I'm going to discover at 4pm tomorrow. I'm not exactly sure how it happened, but I'm going to be ready.
I'm even going to have time to make a quick trip to Chapters tomorrow to spend the gift certificates I found yesterday. Very strange. Very strange indeed.
