A little anniversary, of sorts..

As of yesterday, Mer Mer has now spent ~as much time out in the world as she spent being made into a person by my uterus. Which is to say that she marked 41 weeks alive yesterday. Huzzah!

Also, while I'm aware that she did a *lot* more growing in the first 41 weeks, what with having to develop lungs and all, it still stuns me that she's gotten as big as she has. She's gained about 8-9 inches since she was born and 11.5 pounds.

She's shockingly tall.. she's shot up into the 90th percentile for height, though she's still just under the 50th for weight. But I was over at a friend's yesterday who has a daughter born ~8 months before her who is shorter than her, though apparently has a pound or two on her. The poor little girl was somewhat startled when Mer tried to pull herself up using *her*. She does it all the time with Id and I but she hasn't tried to do it with anyone she has an inch on.

When will you next be in town?

I honestly have no idea. My budget will be tight this year, and I imagine I'll be rather busy at the beginning of the semester.
