I guess my luck was too good to hold. After starting off with an absolutely fantastic doctor, one who was perfectly happy to treat me not my numbers, I'm now faced with Dr. Don't want to do anything without numbers.

My former doctor, who was my doctor because he was the best in Guelph (according to my mother), was offered and accepted a position as the chief coroner for Niagara. Great move for him, and I'm happy for him. It's just a fantastic opportunity.

However, it leaves me with a doctor who, unlike the great doc, is unwilling to go by my symptoms. I already know that my TSH is technically within normal range, even if that normal range is a bit screwy. And he only tested for TSH and Free T4. Given that I popped a synthetic T4 about an hour before I left for the appointment, I doubt it's going to give him a true picture.

So I'm torn. Do I hope that I'll get the stabilization I need playing this guy's numbers game, or do I just up and move to a doctor I know, who I can probably convince to treat me. The issue is that I really, really want this stabalized before I go to Florida.

Any thoughts?
