It's not the fact that she can be classified as an entertainer that bothers me.
It's the fact that almost all of the time, when someone claims that she's an entertainer, it's to diminish the venom in what she's saying, to make it somehow ok.
She, and others like her, even if they're all entertainers, are severely diminishing the discourse in this country, to the point that it's difficult to have a conversation across the political divide anymore. However, when you point that out, the response is "lighten up, she's just an entertainer".
