Relieved...

not that it'll help any of my friends who're currently being frustrated by the moving target that is flu vaccine acquisition these days, but for one group, at least, the regional response is working well.

Granted, it took them a bit to get to this point, and certainly I didn't enjoy the meltdowns that resulted in for me, but I'm thankful today.

My shot appointment was at 10:40 this morning. I got there about 10 minutes late, but was there for <35 minutes, including the 15 minute wait for reactions after the shot. As a bonus, there were chairs. Plus, they've opened up the pregnant lady clinic to partners of 30+ week pregnant women (though they wouldn't let me make the Paramour's appointment for him). Once he called, he was able to get an appointment on Wednesday afternoon.

While they generally do the shot in the non-dominant arm, they ended up doing it in my right arm, since I'm supposed to sleep on my left side. This is fortunate, since my arm has hit the ouchy stage. As for other side effects, it's not clear whether I have them, or whether I'm imagining something that might vaguely resemble an ache in my neck. OTOH, I had a massage therapy appointment today, which means that the muscles got poked and prodded. In general, I'm going to go with "probably no side-effects at this point".

Now I just have to convince my child that she really, really wants to be born before they have to do something unfortunate like induce me. Wish me luck. (And yes, I'm aware that convincing her of anything at this point is an exercise in hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha*sob*-land, so you don't need to point that out)
