Regis O'Connor, you're unspeakably stupid.

The Huron-Superior trustees have reservations about allowing the vaccine in their schools, said trustee Regis O'Connor.

"As a Catholic school board, we are very, very aware that this a vaccine for a sexually transmitted disease and that giving it means children are going to be promiscuous," he said.

Don't think for a second that I think the rest of the board brain trusts quoted in this article aren't complete morons, too. But O'Connor manages to bring the stupid in a very special way.

One that makes me want to punch him.

My new hero, Jeff Zarnett of Toronto, posted in The Star's Voices section:
"A jab in the arm doesn't suddenly make people want to do something they didn't want to do before. Getting your tetanus shot doesn't encourage you to go step on rusty nails, does it?"

I am... bemused.. by the Cup&Up. I'm really not sure what I think, yet. (Warning: link has line drawing that might be considered by some NSFW)

The new technique, called the "Cup&Up" involves the insertion of a silicone implant through two small incisions and its attachment to the ribs and connective tissue with a few small screws and some surgical thread. Doesn't sound too bad, does it?

I'm torn between "the hell?" and "you mean I wouldn't have to wear a g-d-mned bra any more?"
