Few of you will be surprised, I'm sure, to know that Bess was involved.
She and I met up with the_nita and other KWLT types at Waterloo Town Square, wherein we were gently quizzed by a security guard about why the_nita was taking money and handing out t-shirts (he was very relieved when we said "no-one who hasn't already ordered one is getting a t-shirt, promise!). We were handed stacks of posters, assigned cities, and off we went to participate in the Don Juan in Chicago poster run.
Ok, with Bess and I, it was more like "the Don Juan poster and local merchant support run". It started before we met up, actually, with Bess killing time in Eating Well Organically. Then she discovered the kids' store in WTS. Then we moved it to downtown Kitchener. There's a cake store there, did you know that? Well, if you're local to me, you soon will know it pretty intimately, since it took a crowbar to get Bess out of it.
I managed to pick up Frieda's new album, a 2 litre bottle of Grower's Pomegranate Cider, and a copy of the Lisle Letters. And a headache, but what else is new?
Oh, yeah, and we put up bunches of posters and finished out the afternoon at Ye's.
Like I said, the most fun you can have, clothed, in downtown Kitchener.
