I stopped by IKEA on Saturday to get a couple of supplies for the picnic and a gift card for the birthday couple.

I got this lounger, which I highly recommend and this chopping board with integrated knife which worked beautifully and is nice and small and inexpensive. I wouldn't want to have to prepare a meal with the knife, but for cutting fruit and vegetables at a picnic, it's pretty much perfect.

It's important to note, I think, that I did this last night and picked different things for some items, because I'm anything but constant.

We just had a front of rain come through that reminded me of the rainstorms down in Pinellas (though, admittedly, the streets haven't flooded up to the bottom of any cars that I can see).

I read this today, and it made me think about a conversation I had with jasch on a bus a while back.

It’s funny how some Christians can adopt benign beliefs that encourage them to help people in need, while others adopt malignant beliefs that do the opposite – all from the same book of morals. It’s almost like religion plays second fiddle to an individual’s core values about how to treat people, so that those who adopt certain religion practices are always adapting them to meet the requirements of their own consciences.
