Good day
So my classes had hitches, but went well, I think. Each of us thought the other was bringing the pattern for the fitting class, so we had to improvise from extant garments, but that's nothing I haven't done before.
Take this bodice, and.. also went well, if a bit rushed for time, although the fitting class bled into it. Thank god real_jayde was there, so that I could leave off fitting and start the dummy dressing. Thank you again.
I fell as I was leaving, a combination of not enough traction in my shoes and a downslope in the asphalt on my way to get my car. I ripped up my nylons more than my knee, though it's now turning fun colours. That led to me stopping for some new nylons and a couple first aid supplies, which in turn led to me getting to the wedding as the bride was going in. I'm graceful like that.
The wedding was 40 minutes, then I had 10 minutes of socializing with my extended family, a couple minutes to put together the gift and send it off with my sister to the reception, and then I was off to sit in traffic forever on the 401. I swear, someone secretly replaced half the drivers with cocker spaniels. At one point, a 10 minute session of stop-and-go turned out to be because of rubbernecking at an accident on the other side of the road. An accident which had produced a *much* shorter blockage on the other side of the road.
However, I did finally get to the birthday party, and had an absolute blast. I finally had time/space to fix my knee, and ended up using a bandaid from J&J's stash, all of which were boo-boo bandaids. I ended up with Mickey Mouse, which absolutely fascinated a 3 year old girl who was there. I left to head home at 11:30.
All in all, a great day, and I've still got plenty of energy to head out for my picnic.
