So i went to the park, and scoped out two possible spots. Both of them are most easily accessed from the parking lot off Seagram.

My second choice is in "Picnic Area C", which is located right beside that parking lot.

My first choice is located on the other side of the little bridge, headed towards the baseball diamonds and bandshell area of the park. If you go over the bridge and turn to your right, there's a bit of a greenward between the path and the creek, which is nice and shady and near water.

Picnic Area C is likewise near water, but is less shady and is right beside the parking lot. However, the water is more audible there.

So there you go. Make your way there around 1pm, bringing amusements and things to sit on and things to eat*. Pack sunscreen.

See you then.

*Things that you'd like to eat -- if you get there and a spontaneous trading or pooling occurs, that's great, but nothing's planned. It just takes too much planning.

Tomorrow I'll be teaching two classes at the annual Forward Into the Past collegium, which is an event that's been going on for as long as I've been in the SCA. This will be the 8th year I've taught at the Collegium, and my 21st and 22nd class hours taught.

From 12 til 1, I'm doing a hands-on bodice fitting class with my Laurel and real_jayde. After that, from 1 til 2, I'm soloing on a class entitled "Take this bodice and...". It answers the question "so now that you've got a properly fitted bodice toile, what do you do with it?"

Then I'm rushing off to my cousin's wedding ceremony. I'm bailing on the reception, choosing instead to attend the birthday party of two very dear friends in Toronto who've been in South America for nine weeks.

One of the best things about this schedule is that I think I'm going to be able to do it. I remember a time not that long ago when I would only schedule one thing a weekend, because I didn't have the spoons for anything more. Thank god for spoons.
