Mission (partially) accomplished!

My car is now registered in Ontario. Only it's registered as "unfit", because the safety I had done has expired. And I got the exemption on the sales tax, because I wasn't buying it to import, I was a returning resident with a car. So, I saved 800 bucks by speaking up. Yay me.

Fortunately, the mechanic we use here in town has been my parents' mechanic since well before I was able to drive, and so was happy to give me a dealer's plate to drive my car from its current storage place (thank you again Bess!) to the garage. Where, tomorrow, it will get a new safety certificate, and I will get Ontario plates.

Whoot-eh!

I got to drive my car!

I now know exactly how much snow has fallen since January 12th, because I brushed all of it off my car before I could drive it to the shop.

Tomorrow, tomorrow I shall have ontario plates.

I love driving my car.
