Especially when approached from the hotel wake-up call side. However, the shuttle guy was quite kind about waiting for me to finish checking out.

The problem with travelling alone, of course, is that you lose your place in line anytime you need to go to the bathroom. So, for instance, if you fly Southwest, and you're reasonably close to the front of the "A" boarding line, there's a tremendous incentive to just stay put.

The problem with travelling in the early morning, to go back to the initial point of this post, is the terribly unhappy toddler who got up way too early this morning and has no intention of being placated by his poor mother.

So very, very sleepy. I'll see how I feel in Baltimore, but I may have to bail on dinner tonight. Hopefully not.

It was a productive trip, from the work side of things, and not just because I got to have vietnamese with some of the developers. An equipment issue at an Air Force base meant that the person I was supposed to meet with didn't have the time, and so passed the meeting off to one of his guys. However, that was still useful. And, of course, I got some release notes done. Yay for release notes.

I also now have the wool that's been waiting for me down here since it arrived from the eBay seller. It's quite lovely, and perfect for what I'm doing. And I love, love, love the purse I got for the trip.

I've got a really busy week coming up, starting tomorrow with a D'Courci sewing weekend.

And I will now stop rambling and check out the news.

1) There's a woman with a booth on the concourse who does chair massages. Twenty minutes=happy Adrienne
2) The Godiva chocolatier has chocolate covered strawberries and chocolate cups filled with berries and drizzled with more chocolate

These two things more than make up for the need to pay for wifi. I swear that if there was a hairdresser in the concourse where I could go to get my hair washed and styled, I wouldn't be going home today.

I snoozed on the plane, after getting a bit of reading in. There was no-one in the middle seat beside me, which was very nice. I also got my favourite seat: Southwest has, on the right side of the plane, two over-wing exit rows, because the row right beside the over-wing exit doesn't have a seat directly beside the door. I try, when possible, to sit in the window seat directly behind that missing seat, because that way I get extra legroom.

I was also thinking thinky thoughts, which I may even commit to pixels at some point, but we'll see.

And as I was sitting down at Gate A10 in Baltimore to wait for my flight to Buffalo, this large older man sits down behind me, talking on his phone. He was objecting to the naming of the kids of an acquaintance. And I hear "who would name their kid Xander? What do they call him, Xandy?" A good reminder about cultural frames of reference, at any rate.
