The day that was
Dec. 25th, 2006 10:06 pmEveryone's gone home (well, almost everyone), the dishes are done, and I'll soon be ready for bed.
We hosted the family, which is getting smaller as more and more of it moves out to Alberta. So it was just 10 of us this year. I made baked brie with a pomegranate sauce, with Ace Bakery baguette to spread it on. 'Twas delicious and everyone but my sister who doesn't like semi-soft cheeses really liked it.
I got my camera back, and took lots and lots of photos, some of which ya'll may even see. Of course, most of them are of my very cute nephew, making them less likely to be candidates for sharing. I also got a photo printer to go along with the camera, one that can be attached directly.
And my sister let me keep my nephew overnight -- though given the speed at which she said yes and went out to transfer his car seat to my dad's car, I'm not entirely sure "let" is the right word. Mom and Dad are meeting her in the morning to go shopping for her new computer with all of her Christmas money, so they're taking him back in the morning, whilst I head off to spend 8 hours churning out more help files with RoboHelp.
Best gift was a box of (Canadian) Corn Pops that my nephew got me. In fact, I may just go have a bowl right now.
