Dec. 15th, 2006 10:25 pmSo tonight I went to IKEA in Burlington. Well, first I got lost on the way from my sister's place (where half of my garb and all of the garb I intend to wear tomorrow was) to IKEA in Burlington.
I went because I needed two things: a computer desk (I had my eye on the Krille) and a drop leaf table to house my sewing machine.
So I got to IKEA in a terrible mood, because I'd lost an hour when I got lost. But then I saw the midnight madness sale sign in the lobby and I was made instantly happy. Because the Krille desk I wanted, normally $70, was on the sign. For $5.
Yes, that's right. Five dollars. I was so excited I called Bess, because if there's someone who'll be bouncy with you about neat stuff, it's Bess, but she didn't answer the phone. So then I called cous_cous, mostly about other stuff, but also to be gleeful.
Of course, now I have to go upstairs and open the box to find out that I've got to go back to
Burlington to get an essential bolt that's not in the box, because this is after all IKEA.
