My grandmother just described one of my grandfather's friends, a man who was one of my high school teachers, as "that long tall drink of water".

RULES: Each player of this game starts off with 10 weird things/habits/little known facts about yourself. People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 10 weird habits/things/little known facts as well as state this rule clearly. At the end you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. No tagbacks.

  1. My first stuffed animal was a rat, appropriately named Rat. I still have that rat, minus his tail and one eye.

  2. I have a weird tic in the little fingers of both hands (but it's worse in the right) where I'm compelled to pop the joints. It was very bad when I was a teenager. It's gotten better, but it's still there.

  3. I hate my teeth. And my eyebrows.

  4. When I was about 16 and at the beach with my family for May 24, during the middle of an absolutely killer headache I got up at about 1 am to confront a group of 20somethings who'd come out from Toronto for the weekend. They had their stereos blasting and the lights on their jeep to set up by, and were yelling back and forth, all of which were sending spears of agony through my head. I threatened, if they didn't cut the noise, to be outside their tents at 6am the next morning with pots and pans. We became quite friendly that weekend, but I've never seen any of them since.

  5. I had tonsillitis 12 times before my 5th birthday and still have my tonsils.

  6. When I was in kindergarten, I fell down on the asphault at school. I went for help to a girl who I knew from tap dance class who was a year older than I am. She and her friend ran away screaming. This experience informed at least some of my trust issues.

  7. When I read romance novels, I skip the sex scenes.

  8. A few months before I was born, friends of my parents lost their baby during childbirth. They had set up the entire nursery, and while the wife recovered in the hospital, the husband got rid of everything they'd set up. As a result of that (and of my mother being an obstetrical nurse), by the time I came home from the hospital my parents had purchased a grand total of one sleeper, one blanket, and one of those old bassinets that used to serve as car seats.

  9. I get easily overwhelmed if I can't break a large task down into logical parts.

  10. While a teenager, I developed an obsessive habit of pulling hair out of the back of my scalp, to the point that I had a quarter-sized bald spot on the top of my head. I didn't realize how bad it was until my mother walked behind me when I was sitting at the dinner table and asked me why I had a bald spot. After that, I stopped.

I don't tag.
