Back in Florida
Sep. 10th, 2006 10:23 pmSome trip highlights:
Thanks to everyone who made the trip such a good one.
My plane home was an hour late taking off, and about an hour late landing. And he bounced it on landing. But other than that, it was a good flight and I got my favourite seat (yay legroom!) and an IKEA catalog to read during the flight. Who can ask for more?
- Every bit of the time I spent with Bess, who gets more and more delightful every time I see her.
- The wedding was everything a wedding should be; the bride was beautiful in a vintage 30’s gown and hair to match, the groom was blissfully happy, the food was fantastic, and everyone was happy. Plus, the one other person there from Hotline was someone I like.
- Watching Brokeback Mountain with the girls and Matthew; I can take or leave the movie, but the company couldn’t have been better.
- All sorts of time spent with my sister and nephew. Jack just gets cuter and more interesting every time I see him.
- Enough time to spend some just relaxing by myself at mom and dad’s.
- Time with Tangwystle and Al, and having sausages (according to Tang, “pork is a vegetable”. She’s crazy, but we love her.
- Seeing my parents and Anita, even if briefly. I also got to see Paul briefly, but missed out on LB. Next time.
- The evening I spent with Ilana and Barbara was fantastic, even if it started late. We had tea and conversation, and you can’t beat that.
- Jascaha and I didn’t get the chance to drink together, but we did eat really good Chinese food with Bill & Jo at Peter’s Chung King.
- Finally getting the chemise from Bidgie so that I can hopefully have it done sometime this century.
