It's a rare bad Monday in my world -- I'm exhausted, since I screwed up my sleep patterns but good on Friday and Saturday nights, and then could't sleep last night.
But I went to my doctor this morning (at 7:30am) to get the results of my thyroid tests. Since I look back now and realize I didn't post at all when it happened, I'll now fill you all in on the latest in the thyroid saga. When I was miserably sick in February for three weeks, Ross nagged me to get an appointment. Well, I made an appointment when I was still feeling poorly, but then got stuck in traffic and had to reschedule and by the time I rescheduled, I was well and Ross was sick. Not that he went to the doctor until two weeks had gone by, but I digress.
Since I was nearly out of my birth control and one of my thyroid drugs, I kept the appointment anyway. I'd been thinking about switching to Armour thyroid for a while; not only do a lot of people do better on it, it's one fewer prescription, and it's less expensive (to an almost criminal degree). So he agreed to switch, but I had to come back to get blood tests on the 8th, and I got the results today.
TSH is perfect for me at .03. T4 is in the top 3/4 of the range. T3 is considerably higher than the top of the range, but then, I'm on suppressive doses. I've been feeling a lot more mentally alert since switching, and (when I get decent amounts of sleep) I have energy. And I've stopped freezing my butt off all the time. (And, I suspect, the new treatment is probably what's allowing me to be upright today on my one hour of sleep.)
So all is good on the health front. Now just to deal with the rest of Monday.
