Various sundries
Mar. 2nd, 2006 10:54 amMy parents are here, so I've been very busy with them. We went to see Ink and Blood at the Florida International Museum yesterday. "A dramatic exhibition of authentic Dead Sea Scroll fragments, manuscripts and rare Bibles gathered from around the world to tell the story of the most printed book in history—the Bible in English." I found it somewhat uncritical, but interesting all the same. The medieval illuminated manuscripts were absolutely stunning. I also got a copy of the 1537 Tyndale translation. Sadly, they've no plans to take the show to Canada at this point, since no-one has offered to pay for it.
Chris Bliss, the coolest juggler you've ever seen (SFW but with music) (Link fixed)
I brought the camera into work today, and got some shots of my little garden here, which I'll be posting at some point. I may try to do a bit of a photo journey of my day, after my parents go back to Canada.
