Dear muffin-headed co-worker(s)..

Stop turning on the A/C and setting the set-point to 70°F/21°C when, outside, it is 43°F/6°C with a humidity that makes it feel like 37°F/2°C.

Yes, I realize that I have the same ability to regulate my own body temperature as the average lizard, but I do try to wear extra clothes to make life a bit easier for those around me. Note, however, that am currently wearing a turtleneck sweater *and* a cardigan, and I still can't feel my fingers.

In my ideal world, the thermostat would be set to about 82°F/27°C, but you don't see me setting the thermostat there, do you? No, because I am considerate of others around me.

Please extend the same courtesy, or face my considerable hypo wrath.

Warmer now

The temperature is now 75, and my hands no longer hurt. Good.

I'm still sleepy and a bit sick (woke up with a very sore throat yesterday -- it hurt *less* this morning, but still hurt). Not so good.

Less homicidal to thermostat-jacking types. Very good.

Brief snapshot of the weekend:

We decorated the little tree on Saturday night, to the melodious strains of the Barenaked Ladies' Barenaked for the Holidays. I taught John the "Batman smells" version of Jingle Bells, much to the despair of my husband. John was singing the carols from his school christmas pageant all weekend, at the top of his lungs. It was very, very cute, and he's actually a pretty good singer.

We looked at some apartments on Saturday over in Tampa (and one in Clearwater). I preferred the Hillsborough Ave one, Ross prefered the Memorial Hwy one, and neither of us were at all interested in the Clearwater one. We're going to continue looking, to see if anything strikes both of us.

We also had a delightful hour in a car dealership. Of course, for that sentence to be true, one would have to redefine "delightful" to mean "soul-sucking, tedious, and frustrating". We walked out while the guy was "conferring with his manager". One would think that, after being told that a potential customer had sold cars for 3 years, a smart salesman wouldn't pull the same tricks that the potential customer had been taught. But apparently he's either not smart, or didn't believe that Ross was telling the truth.

Argh. So sleepy.
