SSA vs Adrienne, round 1
Aug. 16th, 2004 05:36 pmSo cous_cous and I set out to the Social Security Administration office on 34th St this morning with all my paperwork ready.
As we walked in the door and got a number (34) a woman who was leaving handed me her number (27) on the way out the door. As an aside, this happens to me quite often, for some reason.
We waited for a short while, until the number was called. At that point, I talked to the receptionist, explained that I was here on a K3 visa, had gotten my EAD, and wanted to know if I was in the SAVE system before I actually submitted my application. She kindly checked for me.
I wasn't in the system, so I need to wait until Wednesday or (preferably, she said) Thursday.
A report of round two will thus be available later this week.
