Progress

I'm in the process of making a full Tudor outfit (because I figured that would be the best option, seeing as I'm moving to Florida ::rolls eyes::).

Currently, I'm working on the chemise. I'm handsewing the little blighter. So far, I have the gussets totally on one sleeve, and halfway on the other. Which is to say that both gussets are attached to the partially done sleeve, however since I'm french seaming them, they're not *finished*.

Over to the left, the line is forming for bets on when in this whole "full Tudor outfit" process I will abandon the handsewing.

Now, I need sleep.

It is COLD out. I went out to fill the birdfeeders, and it is really chilly. Of course, we had flurries last night and it's November, so I probably shouldn't be surprised.

However, my bright idea to wander around St. Jacobs this afternoon no longer seems quite so bright. Maybe it'll warm up. If not, I guess I'll just have to go dig out some mittens.

Just so ya'll know, you "over-reacted" to 9-11. This is according to Khaled Batarfi, managing editor of al Medinah newspaper.

From a Reuter's story on the closure of the embassy in Saudi in response to threats:

"But some Saudis said the world's only superpower was panicking. "They have over-reacted since day one, since September 11," said Khaled Batarfi, managing editor of al Medinah newspaper.

Relations between the United States and Saudi Arabia, the world's biggest oil exporter and a close Western ally, have been strained since the September 11, 2001 attacks in the United States. Fifteen of the 19 hijackers who flew planes into U.S. targets were from Saudi Arabia. "When you have a friend who is bigger than you and you see he is panicking, then you feel insecure. Then he is not a friend you can depend on," Batarfi said."
