As most of the past two weeks was spent in a haze of web-surfing, I'll spare you the details. Suffice it to say that I finished up the job, and am now unemployed again.
I celebrated on Friday by going to a fabric store, and not buying anything. (Wierd, I know, but there you are.) It happened to be the store I used to work at, so I got caught up with my old manager. Unfortunately, I ended up feeling icky (tummy and beginnings of a cold), so I didn't make it to the party I'd been intending to go to.
Saturday, I spent in Toronto, helping Alex get hooked up with some tasty IKEA goodness. We also *tried* to hit the William Ashley China Warehouse sale. However, when we got there, the line was just stupid, and I offered to bail. Alex was suitably gracious, and didn't immediately start running out of the tent. We ended up at Future Shop, looking at TVs, and then had yummy beef candy with my friend Sharon. Well... Alex and I had beef candy - Sharon's a vegetarian. Sunday involved church and laziness, and today I celebrated the lack of a commute by sleeping in, and then napping again from 11:30 till 2:15.
I'm taking a Tudor clothing course. I've been interested in Tudor for ages, but I've had Tudor Fear for pretty much the same length of time. Fortunately, one of the local Tudor mavens has volunteered to teach a free course. Eight weeks, a full Tudor outfit at the end of it. I need to make the chemise tomorrow. I'm really enjoying myself.
Other than that, I'm going to Calgary for Christmas. My parents and grandmother have been planning a trip for Christmas for months, but I'm a surprise for everyone out there but my aunt (who's coming to the airport to get me). Other plans than that should remain under wraps, at least for now. I'm looking forward to much_ado's A&S event on the 15th.
Looking forward, I have some cleaning in my future, and some organizing. I also want to make some bread. If you're interested in hearing about any aspect of that, please do let me know and I'll write about it.
Like that.
